Alternatively, from the Red Lion walk on down the country road to the YAR causeway, and old railway
path with tide mill to YARMOUTH.
Take the harbour ferry across to the beach and home again via sea front, cafe's, gift shops, and planetarium, via the woods of FORT VICTORIA COUNTRY PARK. Or just catch a bus.
A short drive away, in West Wight, you can enjoy walking with West Wight Alpacas, Newtown Estuary NT, Calbourne Mill and many cycle routes. Surfers and kite surfing enthusiasts will enjoy Compton Bay, it’s also a great place to go fossil hunting and see the dinosaur footprints at low tide.
