Walk or Cycle
The holiday village is surrounded by numerous footpaths and wide open countryside views.
Walk through the woods of Fort Victoria country park towards Yarmouth, to find wild beaches, Planetarium, Aquarium and beach side cafe’s.
Golden Hill country park is inland towards Yarmouth bia the river YAR, with an excellent cycle route along the old railway line.
Drive or Local Bus
A short drive away, in West Wight, you can enjoy walking with West Wight Alpacas, Newtown Estuary, Calbourne Mill and many cycle routes.
Surfers and kite surfing enthusiasts will enjoy Compton Bay, it’s also a great place to go fossil hunting and see the dinosaur footprints at low tide.
Tapnell Farm Park and Waterpark is local and great fun for a family day out.
Only a short walk along the beach to this BLUE FLAG beach
Safe swimming, and the traditional bucket-n-spade holiday. Cafe for snacks and ice creams, plus THE HUT beach restaurant. Stand up paddle boarding and boat hire.
Walking on along the sea wall discover Totland Bay. Then over National Trust’s Headon Warren for the views, and down into Alum
Bay amusements, cafe, and the NT Needles Battery experience. Then it's either Tennyson Downs back to Freshwater Bay, or
catch a bus back.
