DIRECTIONS from Lymington/Yarmouth Wightlink ferry terminal
SatNav location:
Brambles Chine: PO40 9SQ
Cliff End: PO40 9XA
^By vehicle
Turn right at round-about as you leave the ferry terminal. Go over harbour bridge. The road in 1/4 mile turns sharp left. Proceed up hill and on the flat pass Hill farm stables on right, and a converted church on the left. As the road starts to go down again Monks Lane is on the right, it has a sign to Linstone Chine Holiday Bungalows
If arriving via Portsmouth-Fishbourne (Wightlink) or Southampton-Cowes (Red Funnel) car ferries, find the A3054, which circles the island, and head for Yarmouth till you pass the ferry terminal above.
By bus
From Yarmouth: Catch No.7 towards ‘Alum Bay/Totland’ from bus station outside the ferry terminal. Get off at the stop ‘Heathfield Road Top’. Walk on up Heathfield to the main road, turn right, cross, and walk down Monks Lane. It’s about 1/2 mile to BRAMBLES CHINE, and 1 mile to CLIFF END. From Ryde or Fishbourne ferry terminals: catch No.9, and from East Cowes No.5, to Newport bus station, then change to No.7.
ACCESSING THE BUNGALOW
A key safe is fitted outside the bungalow, its combination will be emailed to you separately. Return key to key-safe only when you leave, for your own security. Bungalows are available after 4pm on your arrival day. A text message will be sent if the bungalow is ready sooner.
ON YOUR JOURNEY
Via Lymington, if approaching via M27-J2/A326, why not visit Beaulieu car museum and stately home, or explore the New Forest for a few hours, ending with a meal in the Walhampton Arms just 5-minutes from Lymington ferry. If arriving late in Yarmouth there are several good restaurants we use ourselves. The Kings Head, Bugle Inn, Blue Crab, or Salty’s to name but a few, have all been tried by us and can be recommended. On the return journey try taking the 6pm ferry from Yarmouth and start your pleasant out-of-rush-hour journey home after a carvery in the Walhampton Arms.
Via Portsmouth consider arriving early and spending time in the Historic Dockyard, or if you take a later ferry as you come out of Fishbourne ferry terminal entrance turn left instead of right for a meal in The Fishbourne, before continuing on 30 more minutes to the cottage. Similarly on the return journey a meal in the Fishbourne before a later ferry is very pleasant and takes you out of rush hour in Portsmouth.
There is absolutely no reason why you should not arrive via Lymington and leave via Fishbourne ferries, so do both to make fullest use of your time on the Isle of Wight. This is not possible with Red Funnel at these special rates.

Follow Monks Lane past Monks Farm and the small trading estate on left. For BRAMBLES CHINE section turn left at the junction with the WELCOME TO LINSTONE CHINE sign. Turn right into the 1st entrance you reach and enter the site. Drive straight down and park in the road outside 116 or 136.
